Sip & Chew Mother’s Day Edition

Radio Stah!

The very first episode of “Sip & Chew with Mike and Stu” was this past Sunday.  It went extremely well too.  I’ve posted it online for those who may have missed it and the show now has it’s own web site (HERE).  You can listen to the first installment below and if you check in the sidebar to the right you’ll also see a widget that that will start with the most recent show.  Enjoy!

Two FNS Runners-up Snag Emmy Nominations

You don’t have to win Food Network Star to be an actual star.

NathanRachael 300x196 Two FNS Runners up Snag Emmy NominationsNathan Lyon (season 2) narrowly lost out to a dude you may have heard of named Guy Fieri but has gone on to have quite the career.  He has hosted or co-hosted a number of shows on different networks but it is his latest program, Good Food America with Nathan Lyon, that has landed him a nomination for “Outstanding Culinary Host.”

Also earning a nomination for “Outstanding Culinary Host” is Kelsey Nixon.  She was the rightful winner of season 4 but was not allowed to win by the show’s producers.  Who won?  The oft forgotten Aaron McCargo Jr.  Kelsey was rewarded with her own show on the Cooking Channel (Kelsey’s Kitchen) and now can add Emmy nominee to her long list of credits.

Well, it isn’t quite Food Network (yet) but I am proud to announce the premiere of “Sip & Chew with Mike and Stu.”  This one-hour live radio call-in show devoted to the complete gastronomic experience will air Sundays at 8 AM (CT) on 106.5 FM radio in Mobile, AL.  My co-host, Mike Bailey, is one of the most knowledgeable wine guys in the biz and has made his bones by presenting wine in a way that regular folk can understand.  The show will stream live for those of you not in L.A. (Lower Alabama) via the station’s web site and I will be posting the shows here in the MEDIA Section. You’re welcome.

The premiere episode will air this Sunday May 5th (Cinco de Mayo).
