For me, 2011 is off to a huge start but the foundation for this success was built last year.  2010 was a big year for me and WannabeTVchef.com.  Not only was I lucky enough to be chosen as a judge for the Tasty Awards but the blog itself has been named to a number of annual “Best Of” lists.

Last month WTVC was chosen as one of the Top 10 Food Blogs of 2010 by the readers of chef2chef.net.  This is of course a tremendous honor as Chef2Chef is a site frequented by culinary professionals.  The community of chefs at Chef2Chef is what makes it unique as culinary students are able to chat with professional chefs and professional chefs are able to ask one another questions.

Yesterday the word came down that the blog has also been named one of food blogger Detra “Denay” Davis‘ top 10 food blogs as well.  A member of Slow Food and the Southern Foodways Alliance. Denay is the brain child of HomeBasedBaking.com a membership website dedicated to helping bakers start a home-based bakery business so it goes without saying that this is also quite an honor.

I find such accolades both humbling and encouraging.  Thank you.
