ICA: Flay vs. IsidoriIron Chef Bobby Flay faces off against challenger Joe Isadori. Chef Isadori is the executive chef at Southfork Kitchen in Bridgehampton, New York. Judges are Joshua Applestone, Georgia Pellegrini and Glen Davis.

Joe IsidoriJoe Isidori comes from a long line of chefs. Throughout his childhood and adolescence he trained in his father’s kitchens, and at 21 he was awarded a scholarship to attend The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Isidori was snatched up by the Nemo Restaurant Group in Miami Beach, Florida, upon graduation and served as their chef de cuisine. But it wasn’t too long before his talents were noticed by real estate mega-millionaire Donald Trump.

Isidori is now the executive chef at Southfork Kitchen in Bridgehampton, New York. He continues his commitment to sourcing sustainable seafood and local produce in the “East Coast Napa,” working with farmers, fisherman and winemakers to help showcase the true bounty of the East End of Long Island.

Chef Isidori has a résumé that is world class but there is no venue in the world like Kitchen Stadium especially when Iron Chef Bobby Flay is waiting for you in Battle: Strip Steak.

ICA: Zakarian vs. FerraroIron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian faces off against challenger Michael Ferraro, executive chef at Delicatessen and Macbar in New York City. Judges are David Rosengarten, Ching-He Huang and Phil Rosenthal.

Michael Ferraro Iron ChefA graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Michael Ferraro has worked in the kitchens of Beacon Restaurant, Mercer Kitchen and the Biltmore Room.  At Delicatessen he presents international comfort classics that incorporate elements from his Italian roots and classical French training.

His menu at delicatessen brings international comfort food to the crossroads of SoHo and NoLita serving familiar favorites with a twist for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night creating a friendly neighborhood vibe.

Chef Ferraro has a tall order as Geoffrey Zakarian has never tasted defeat as an Iron Chef.  Will Battle Peaches be Zakarian’s first lost?

ICA: Garces vs. Cowan

garces banner ICA: Garces vs. RaijLast week the Iron Chefs visited the set of Chopped.  This week the inverse happens.  Iron Chef Jose Garces faces off against challenger Madison Cowan. Chef Cowan is the first ever Grand Champion on the hit series Chopped. Judges are Karine Bakhoum, Laurent Tourondel and Farmer Lee Jones.

Madison CowanChef Madison Cowan is a hands-on dad, author, restaurateur and former street resident with roots in London, Detroit and Jamaica. He also runs Madison Cowan LLC, a global culinary production company that oversees operations in licensing and consulting, cookery demonstration, television appearances and mobile clandestine dining that has reached throughout Africa, Europe, Japan and South America.

In 2010 Food Network selected him as a contestant for their hit Primetime series, Chopped where he competed and won three consecutive episodes to become the first ever Chopped Grand Champion. He will next be seen on BBC America’s exciting new series No Kitchen Required, set to premiere April 2012. Madison has also written his first cookbook Soul Voyage about cooking from your soul, no matter the ingredients, location or who you are, as well as chronicling a few of his journeys. Madison currently resides in New York.

The Chopped kitchen is a tough venue to be sure but there is no place like Kitchen Stadium for there waits Iron Chef Jose Garces for Battle: Kale.

Alain Allegretti hails from a prominent culinary background developed in kitchens across France and the United States. His cooking style pairs cultural influences from his home city of Nice with the guidance culled from famed chefs including Jacques Maximin and Alain Ducasse.

Alain AllegrettiAllegretti’s career, in both France and New York, stretches from helming the kitchen at legendary restaurants to his own eponymous restaurant. He was the executive chef at the New York Ritz-Carlton’s highly acclaimed restaurant, Atelier, where he was instrumental in aiding the restaurant to achieve multi-star reviews by prominent publications. Allegretti honed his culinary skills at several Michelin star rated restaurants including the two-star Restaurant Le Chantecler, three-star rated Chez Chapel in Mionnay and three-star rated Restaurant Le Louis XV in Monte Carlo.

Allegretti arrived on the New York restaurant scene in 2001 as Co-Executive Chef at Sirio Maccioni’s Le Cirque 2000. In 2008 Allegretti opened his eponymous restaurant Allegretti in the Flatiron District and earned a rave 2 star review by Frank Bruni in the New York Times, along with glowing critique from the New York Post, Time Out New York, Insatiable Critic, among other outlets. Allegretti’s newest flagship restaurant, La Promenade des Anglais, features cuisine inspired by the French Riviera with subtle influences from various regions of Italy as well, bringing the glamour, the romance and the food of the French Riviera to the fashionable Chelsea district.
